By public transport

The closest bus stops are on Maryhill Road, at Lochburn Road and at Maryhill Library, just a minute’s walk from the halls.

The 60 and 60A are the most frequent, running the length of Maryhill Road.

Southbound they go into the city centre, stopping outside Glasgow Central station and a few minutes’ walk from Queen Street, then on to the East End.

Northbound they run up through Maryhill and Bearsden — the 60 continuing via Drumchapel to Clydebank, and the 60A on to Milngavie.

The 17 also comes along Maryhill Road, between the city centre and Bearsden and Duntocher, and the 61 serves the road too.

For the West End, the 8 links Maryhill with Byres Road, the Botanic Gardens and Partick — next to Partick train and underground station.

For trains, Maryhill railway station is about a 20-minute walk (0.6 miles) to the north, and Hillhead underground station is roughly a 40-minute walk to the south. Or you can pick up a bus from either to save the walk.

By bike

The halls sit on National Cycle Route 754 along the Forth & Clyde Canal, with bike racks in the courtyard.

By car

Free on-street parking is usually available nearby, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Gairbraid Avenue is closed to traffic at Maryhill Road, so if you’re driving, turn off Maryhill Road at Kelvindale Road, then turn right up Burnhouse Street.

There are six dedicated disabled spaces directly opposite the archway entrances.
