The Glasgow Group
We’re back.
Different Strokes Glasgow is up and running again — local support for younger stroke survivors, their families and friends. Come and join us at our first meeting.
Our first meeting
Saturday 29th August 2026
10am – 12pm
Maryhill Burgh Halls, Glasgow
Everyone’s welcome and there’s no need to book — but letting us know helps us plan.
Our aim
As a local Different Strokes support group we aim to empower younger stroke survivors and carers to reclaim their lives by:
- Learning more about stroke and how to cope with it by talking to others in the same situation
- Feeling less isolated and more confident about life after stroke
- Optimising recovery
- Regaining as much independence as possible.
We run a monthly in-person support group in Glasgow, and we’re building towards regular social events and activities too.
When we meet
After the first meeting, the fourth Saturday of every month, 10am–12pm
Maryhill Burgh Halls, Glasgow.
We take a break in July and December — everyone’s welcome the rest of the year, and there’s no need to book.
